We can not cut our security to this country. We are setting ourselves up for another 9-11, Drug Cartel and terrorists. Why is it that the cuts are never made from the top? -

Something needs to be done NOW! Not only is our border unsecured, but our " leaders" of this nation are in denial and believe it is more secure than it has ever been, maybe we were working towards it, but now that the South side (Mexico) knows what our agents are facing, they will push more illegals, narcotics, and possible terrorists into our country. People probably think that the only people that cross are of Latin American heritage, their are wrong for thinking that. Our "leaders" need to open their eyes and see that they are making several poor decisions and doing nothing to help the nation, only to hurt it. We are going down a path with no end in sight and it's only a matter of time before something terrible happens that could have been avoided. But due to politics and people sitting in their cozy offices, not worrying about their retirement, their safety, and the safety of the American public, our nation faces greater threats to it's security and well being. Stand up and fight for what is right, what will help our nation NOW and in the future.REPORT COMMENTS

This 40% pay reduction will have not only make a huge impact on the lives of agents affected but also the security of our once great nation. This country will be even more flooded with illegal immigrants draining our economy and causing more crime and violence. It will also make a huge impact on the economy. Don't let them fool you, 20000 agents taking a 40% pay cut will effect the local economies.REPORT COMMENTS

This is a disgrace. These men and women risk their lives everyday while the government turns their back on them. With all the Amnesty agendas on the table, of course they would cut the U.S. Border Patrol Agency and not Customs. It is just awful that Border Patrol would have to take the largest portion of cuts. It is just wrong.REPORT COMMENTS

I live close to the border and if it wasn't for our border patrol that I see all over, every day I wouldn't feel safe living this close to the border. Why don't you big to do's in the government cut your own pay before cutting the pay of those that protect our borders and country (border patrol, customs, military, law enforcement, etc.). You're making the cuts at the wrong end! Start at the top with your stupid cuts!REPORT COMMENTS

I live close to the border. And work as a law enforcement officer near river. . I see first hand the shortage and the impact it has had on our resources. It hits close to home when my friend who is an agent has more chance of getting hurt when there are not enough people to help. We need a more secure border! Wake up! The government is in denial.REPORT COMMENTS
