Colonel Philip Shue was a person of integrity and honorably served his country for more than 26 years as an Air Force officer. The injustice he received from both the military and civilian justice systems was utterly shameful. Tracy Shue has devoted the last nine years of her life to unearth the facts about her husband's death. The facts of this case clearly do not support the "manner of death" (suicide) that was assigned to Philip. What's even more disturbing ? there is no manner in which to dispute the findings or even a forum to question the results. I recall Tracy's words, "There is no justice." Tracy has fought the lies, indifference, arrogance, ignorance and threats from the bureaucratic system that has placed nothing but huge barriers before her.... And she has persevered. The culmination of this epic battle can be summed up in Tracy's life mission: to ensure that the family members of our deceased service members have access to and receive all the needed information concerning the death of their loved ones and have the opportunity for inquest if needed.

Our Men and Women who serve in the military deserve much more than they recieve, apparently even in death. To "blame the victim" not only smears their name, but causes undue emotional and psychological harm to their families. Let justice be served for those who serve.

Having experienced a similar situation with the death of my son John Michael Dilday, not military but civilian, I have learned that laws need changed. I will sign this petition and hope and pray changes will be made.
