The U.S. Military Justice Improvement Act fails in addressing the needs of Bereaved Military Families and an Effective Way Forward in Preventing Military Deaths. Independent Military Inquest Hearings must be the first step in improving the Military Justice System. Families must have answers and systemic problems must be identified to prevent future deaths! The Military Justice Improvement Act may help Military Sexual Assault Victims, but does nothing in addressing many other serious problems effecting the health and well-being of all our troops. Although Military Families For Justice (MFFJ) supports the fact that some Military Commanders may be unfit leaders who should be removed, the majority should not be held legally responsible for the many systemic problems that have plagued the Military for decades. We should not be focused on punishing Commanders for System Failures. Instead - it's time to identify problems and find real solutions.REPORT COMMENTS

None of the documents of my husbands LOD investigation were accurate. Wrong name, wrong hospital, falsely identifying his body, wrong DOD, wrong date of arrival.... it is up to me to prove they are inaccurate. There is no process to validate any of the submitted documents, they’re simply accepted as fact.
