I support this petition. I was asked to support the petition to pass the S 1789 law by friends who are already incarcerated and doing their sentences with the old crack laws and was pleased to hear that the law was passed and now I ask that you please allow the law to be retroactive so that the one's incarcerated and sentenced with the old crack laws can be sentenced fairly.Aug 4th, 2010Someone from Homestead, FL signed.

I would like to take this time to say Thank You, for voting Yes on the S 1789 law and getting that law passed to change the unfair guidelines. Now I am Begging you to vote Yes on making that law Retroactive. It is only the Right thing to do. Considering the fact that the people who are currently serving these unjust sentences are the exact reason that we felt that a change was needed in the first place. Everyone deserves a second chance. Most people learn from there mistakes and correct them. Please give them the CHANCE to correct there mistakes and get a second chance at life. We have children that desperately need there Fathers and Mothers. We have Mothers and Fathers that pray that they live to see the day that there son or daughter is set free. My fiance is doing time because he would not rat out someone. The police knew this and still he is sitting in jail ... a good man who was in the wrong vehicle without knowledge of the trunks contents.
