After 11 million people, 6 million of them Jews, perished in the Holocaust, an appalled world rallied and said "Never Again." How many Jewish lives would have been saved had the US and safer countries thrown open their borders or streamlined/expedited their admission process? THIS IS HISTORY REPEATING ITSELF. What if this was Israel? What if these refugees were French? Would we react any differently? Yes. A heightened terror threat exists from Islamic countries. WE NEED TO LET THESE DESPERATE REFUGEES IN ANYWAY. We must take risks to save human life. The life of a Syrian man woman or child is just as important as my life, your life, your child's life. By not letting more refugees in we are also responsible for their murder. Let us act like global citizens, let us lead the world by example. Let us embrace the values and spirit our country was built upon. Please, you, the person reading this - use your influence and your voice to speak on behalf of those whose voices are being drowned. A long time ago, before things got so complicated, isn't this what you believed in? That you too could change the world? You can.Sep 4th, 2015Someone from Wakefield, MA signed.

Here we are, equipped with the lessons of history and in possession of a blueprint to help solve this crises. SS St Louis is a blight on our collective humanity - we mustn't turn a blind eye to Syria. Humans are humans. Be brave elected officials and DO SOMETHING!REPORT COMMENTS

Syrians lost everything, their homes, way of life and many lost their lives. Everybody deserves a chance to live a normal life!REPORT COMMENTS
