Shame! Shame on our nation for their fear and failure to act- in a similar way that we turned away Jewish refugees just before WWII so we wouldn't be too at risk. Accepting 1000 out of the 11million refugees in great need but throwing money at their neighboring nations is pitiful. No moral or righteous nation would act in such a way. It is a small and ignorant view of Syrians and of the situations they find themselves in to claim that all Syrians are too dangerous to receive as refugees. Syrians are not unwanted.Sep 4th, 2015Someone from Lawrenceville, GA signed.

We should be taking an international lead in this. We have more capacity to absorb refugees than anyone else!!!REPORT COMMENTS

How is this at all different from when Jews were fleeing Europe and found themselves at closed borders and in locked train stations? The US did not act quickly enough then, and it should act quickly now. These are not "migrants", they are refugees from war and any good conscience and the Geneva Convention require that they be given safe harbor.REPORT COMMENTS
