Please review the initial advertising for Nexium, the "Purple Pill", there was no statement of use for the drug, just that you should ask your doctor. The excitement was that the pill was purple rather than functionality. These deceptive tactics are omnipresent in pharmaceutical advertising. Just watch the six o'clock news, case closed..... -

I support this common-sense proposal that protects the public. Advertising is not primarily based on factual information, but is by nature emotionally manipulative. There has been good that's come from DTC advertising too, though. It was a check in place that ensured the doctor was up on the latest medicines that could help us. ie We knew about it so we could ask about it if the current one didn't work. The problem is, imo, that people have been brainwashed into thinking their ONLY option is pharmaceuticals. And there's sooo many other, natural ways to heal the body.REPORT COMMENTS
