The only party that benefits by direct consumer advertising is the pharmaceutical industry. The media has their hands tied in their ability to cover any medical and science objectively when their advertising dollars may upset the pharmaceutical industry. Doctors are also tied when a patient who thinks they know of a drug seen on tv is right for them. You cannot fix stupid. The United States is one of the few places in the world that allows DTC advertising. (New Zealand is the only other developed nation that does.) The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) oversees prescription drug advertising with the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and related regulations. marketing of any drug is unethical and should be banned without negotiation! DTC marketing of any drug is unethical and should be banned without negotiation! Alcohol and tobacco advertising is forbidden yet everywhere we turn big pharma is in our face pushing poison & telling us to ask our doctor for their products. But for vaccines, you must trust your doctor because he knows about those. The others you will have to ask for. Complete BS!!! From vaccines to statins, beta blockers, chemo, etc., injecting aborted fetal dna, animal dna, mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde, gmos, etc. into our blood stream is INSANE! Advertising is meant to have people buy something they do not need. To try to convince people they should have a pharmaceutical product that they do not need is immoral and unethical. All pharmaceutical products have some deleterious health issues. It is a risk benefit analysis. There are almost always natural therapies that have only positive health effects. Our current sick care system does not know and does not care to know about the body's own power to heal when given the necessary nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. It is a disgrace and down right evil that we are a drugged nation from cradle to grave. Americans' DNA are being mutated with more and more vaccines being forced on the public Young girls are dying and becoming infertile from the HPV vaccine. Cancer, autism, diabetes, and many other health problems are rising exponentially with the increase in the childhood vaccine schedule. We are destroying the health of future generations because we are afraid of illnesses. We are trading short-lived illnesses (measles, mumps, rubella, and so on) for chronic debilitating diseases. When will people learn the truth and work with the microbial world which we need for our health. Instead of making war on "germs", let's strengthen the immune system with a nutritious diet.. All of the packaged foods are chemical-laden and not nourishing to the body. Pesticides have created a toxic food supply. The answer cannot be more drugs and vaccines (more toxic chemicals) forced onto the public. The only logical remedy to restore the health of the citizens is to stop the chemical onslaught of drugs, pesticides, and vaccines, and return to natural non-GMO foods grow without pesticides.REPORT COMMENTS

We try to teach our children to "say no to drugs", however, every other commercial is marketing and encouraging popping a pill to fix all your ailments. Doctors should be prescribing drugs as needed and we should not be promoting a one sided, glorified environment of drug use. The law that allowed pharmaceutical companies to advertise direct to consumers has compromised public health and safety. The United States is the most over-medicated population in the world. More patients are injured by prescription drugs and vaccines than cars and guns. Drug and vaccine manufacturers have repeatedly betrayed the public trust and lied about the safety and efficacy of their products. Merck's Vioxx, for example, killed almost 60,000 and injured more than 125,000 more. Merck knew the product was dangerous before they mass marketed it, and they marketed it anyway. Had they not been allowed to advertise, far fewer people would have been killed and injured. We face similar betrayals from the pharmaceutical industry with lies about efficacy in the mumps vaccine from Merck and the coverup of the link between Merck's MMR vaccine and autism found by the CDC. There are no compelling reasons to allow untrustworthy pharmaceutical to mass market their dangerous products and fraudulent safety claims to the American people.
