I lost my husband 3 1/2 years ago to congestive heart failure. With no life insurance, and half of my income gone, I had no choice but to go back to work immediately. Pushing grief away is unhealthy, makes for less productive employees, increases depression, and speaks poorly of us as a society. Please show you respect people enough to afford them a sufficient time to grieve someone. 1 week off after the loss of someone you loved for 10 years is not acceptable.Aug 22nd, 2013Someone from Grand Rapids, MN writes:
