The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is a critical component of our democracy.

People like to make the argument that instead of PBS you can watch The History Channel or watch Dora instead of Sesame Street. They are NOT the same in quality of programming and PBS will be sorely missed as a;n educational tool. I watch PBS more than cable.

Public broadcasting is so important to so many Americans, and not just children either. Please support the crucial funding that allows them to keep on doing what they do.

We deserve to have a choice in how we educate ourselves and our children. Public broadcasting, both television and radio,is what many choose to learn whether it be news or life. Don't take away our choice. Isn't that what freedom is all about, having the right to choose.

This should not even be in question since getting REAL news and human interest stories that matter would be impossible otherwise.

Please do not cut funding for PBS. It is a model for the free speech, creativity, and respect for human beings that our country claims to represent. Its programming for children is safe, educational, and fun, and adults need the balance and sanity that the rest of its programming provides.

This message brought to you by the letters I and Q, and the number 1/100th of 1 percent (the amount of the annual budget currently allotted to PBS).
