My dog was shot by an officer when he and my other dog escaped our yard. The officer lied about how the shooting occurred, which was corroborated by an eye witness and a necropsy report and NOTHING happened to the officer and the city JUSTIFIED the shooting. It's time officers are trained and educated. If they're trained in every other area they respond, then why aren't they trained for animal calls? It makes no sense. Most recently in Indiana, two huskies were shot when the officers thought they were coyotes! Educations would have taught them otherwise. It's time for a change. PLEASE HELP US!REPORT COMMENTS

no, do not honor this petition. if an animal attacks a police officer, and the officer feels threatened, they can shoot it. if it dies or is incapacitated, that is fine. if that bothers you, train your animal to not attack law enforcement.REPORT COMMENTS
