With cannabis legal there will be less violent crime because it removes it from the black market. It is impossible to overdose on cannabis. It is also much safer than Alcohol.Jun 23rd, 2016Someone from Posen, IL signed.

Make cigarettes or something actually harmful illegal. The only reason this is illegal is because you are stubborn and refuse to listen to the clear voice of your citizens who you claim hold the power in this countryREPORT COMMENTS

My mother needs to use it for her back, hips, and arthritis and now struggles whem bringing it to her doctors attention because they are not allowed to prescriber her some of her pain medications if she is smoking marijuana as well. She is trying to ween off of these pills but her constant pain gives her no other choice, if her doctor does not want her to use it and threatens to tell Medicare and potentially have her get dropped from the coverage, she will forever be stuck on these very addictive pain killers instead of being able to switch over to marijuana.REPORT COMMENTS

The only reason the plant was made illegal was due to our racist government in the early to mid 1920's trying to push out Mexican immigrants who smoked it. Read up and educate yourself. The prohibition of cannabis is a joke.REPORT COMMENTS

Peoples lives are ruined because of outrageous laws against marijuana. It's time for The US to stop hurting its citizens. Abortion is legal under my body my choice, the same should be with Marijuana.REPORT COMMENTS

The only change would be to make the stores privately owned instead of government owned to allow for competition. If owned and controlled by the government then prices would be regulated and sometime in the future the government could change the laws and/or just close all the stores down without warning.REPORT COMMENTS

opiods from major pharmaceutical companies are not only expensive but dangerous and over time creates dependence on them.being an individual with several neck and back injuries i have found marijuana not only decreases the pain better than prescription medication but is also not habit forming nor is it a gateway drug.it is wrong to punish an individual to want to have a better quality of life by taking a substance that does absolutely no harm to anyone...what ever happened to life liberty and persuit of happiness?why is it illegal where i live but if i drive 100 miles north to our nations capital where the lawmakers of our country live it is legal?is this not a clear cut case of discrimination based on geographical location?REPORT COMMENTS

I think that there's so much money being made with our criminal justice system that we will never see much change in our law. i know its against the law but is it worth destroying people's lives for wanting to smoke pot. I really don't think it is.REPORT COMMENTS

cannabis should not be so illegal that it puts our young generation in jail for decades. if it is a victimless crime no one should go to jail for decades just on the basis of having cannabis for their own use, medical or otherwise. look how many people die from car accidents, liver disease, addiction, and many other aliments cause by liquor which is legal, does that make any sense, come on people wake up and do what is right to save lives not ruin them!!REPORT COMMENTS
