Its been traumatic for my wife after getting married to come from home country where she was employed and was successful in her field. She posses skills which will definitely be useful in several organization. Unfortunately because of her dependent visa (H4) situation she is stuck. I urge the lawmaker and people responsible to take decision on this to do justice to all law abiding, tax paying residents to help them make a better living for themselves and in return help the economy to go forward by allowing these skilled people to work. -

I was a working professional for 5 years in my country before I got married and came here to sit at home and do nothing. All my skills and education earned are getting rotten and without my fault. I really think that this BILL should be past for the betterment of all women who have came in this country and are not able to earn money for their family, for this country. I request to kindly pass this bill. It will be of bilateral help. Lots and lots of talent is getting wasted at home, trust me on this.REPORT COMMENTS

Hello I have got 2 masters degree from UK and I didnt know coming to US will be a pain. My wife wanted to stay here as she has got a good job and I thought I will get the same. Didn't know much about the H4 strict rules. Can you please pass this petition so that we all can work as well and bring some more economy into this country rather than staying at home and do nothing. Please Obama sir look at this way that you or your family member has to sit at home. How would you feel? If you will allow us to work we can pay tax to your country and also your economy will get stronger. I don't understand why US government is not thinking this way. Mr Obama you promised so many things to Mr Modi but you are not letting his nationals to work in your country where as India is helping your country in every way. Please please take this suggestion onboard and pass this petition. Regards IndianREPORT COMMENTS

Sir, Please pass this petition for the sake of young talent whose skills and energy are getting atrophied. H4s, mostly in their twenties and thirties are in the best of age and enthusiasm to do something in life. Denying talented people the right to work is creating a lot of dissatisfaction, aimlessness in such people, negatively affecting their lives and also the lives of their h1b spouses , who are contributing a lot to US economy. So many young women get trapped in this hopeless situation, where the heavy dependency on the h1b spouse is simply a curse, which shatters their confidence and individuality. Its sad that, the US, which highly respects and protects the freedom & individuality of a person, should ignore this issue for so long. A rightful chance to work will brighten up lives of so many families, and in return they will not only contribute to US economy, taxes etc but also contribute towards a healthy and happy society.REPORT COMMENTS

Hi, Me and my spouse are both currently employed by US based companies on H1-B visa. I am in the second year of my H1-B whereas my spouse is in the final year of H1-B visa. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the application for my spouse's PERM was not filed on time by his company's lawyer. If H4 visa holders are allowed to work, both me and my spouse (and others in similar situation as ours) will be able to continue with our jobs in this country. It will also prevent us from an undesirable situation where both spouses decide to go back home or have one spouse leave the country. Kindly pass this rule....REPORT COMMENTS

It is one strange rule were a L1 visa dependents are able to work and h1b dependent are not allowed. At the end of the day skilled resources are being wasted and middle class families are struggling with one pay. With all due respect this law should be passed positively as soon as possible.REPORT COMMENTS
