Please pass the H4 working permit rule. My husband has not been able to work for too many years. We really need it.Oct 28th, 2014Someone from Fremont, CA writes:
Please approve work permits for H4 visa who have applied for legal immigration (I-140 approved) and waiting for priority date adjustments. They are already on the path to be permanent residents and shouldn't be denied job opportunities.REPORT COMMENTS

Please grant H4 visa holders with EAD to sustain the talented community. Give them jobs only if their skills match your requirements. Please do not take away their hopes of America being a land of opportunities.REPORT COMMENTS

Please pass this rule. It is crucial for talented and educated people that they get back into the work force. I have an Ph.D from a US university but unfortunately cannot use it because I cannot work on an H4 visa. The education that USA gave me is going to waste.REPORT COMMENTS

I had been working for last 8 years in India and was taking care of my own family but ever since I got married and came to states I can not help my family at all because this big country does not allow me to work. This is really upsetting and kind of degrading people coming to the United States from other country. On one hand You permit people who you think are the best suitable candidates for a particular task to make your nation strong but on the other hand you simply restrict people to work who actually are the support behind.I do not feel that This country should grow like this..I m sure H4s who are not allowed to work are not happy and not spending a normal life here.they are stuck and want to feel equal.I wish if you could understand the severity of this situation and approve this Bill.Hoping for a good news.REPORT COMMENTS

We all know US is always raising voice for Humanitarian rights. But why they are silent about this foolish law that H4 dependent can not work. The right way for any leader is to provide an open path for all humans irrespective of the race. Hope Mr. Obama will change this foolish law so that all H4 dependent can work just like L2 dependents. I strongly support this law on humanitarian basis. Thank you.REPORT COMMENTS

Being not allowed to work on H4 visa is a serious crime against humanity and is deprived his/her legal rights to earn the livelihood of their family as a single earning member on h1b1 visa cannot sustain his/her entire whole family. Plz do the needful at the earliest as it is the serious issue against humanity rights to livelihood !!!!!!!!!!!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

My wife has a medical degree and completed PhD from leading US University. After doing 2 postdoctoral fellowships she lost her H1B and went on H4 dependent visa. Now it has been 4 years on H4 visa and she has not been able to go back to work due to H1B issues. In the mean time I am still waiting for my priority date. It is such a waste of hard earned education and talent not to mention loosing touch with the current technology and self confidence. This is all in spite of having a PhD in United States. How does this help the country or the individual? These restrictions are destroying lives and careers of thousands of qualified and skilled people. Please approve work permits for H4 visa who have applied for legal immigration (I-140 approved) and waiting for priority date adjustments. Thank you for your consideration.REPORT COMMENTS
