H4 is such a merciless visa. As the dependent who is not an IT professional, the only option for them is to stay at home, losing their previous economic dependency. For some families, they have too suffer long-distance(cross-country) separation because of the cruel and merciless H4 Visa. For the sake of being as a family and for the right of the most women, please change the restrictions of H4 and stop imprison most women. Please give them the freedom to work.Oct 6th, 2014Someone from Albany, CA signed.

Strongly in favor of passing this 'EAD for H4 visa holders' law. The most productive period of highly skilled professionals are being wasted. These families are left for suffering in their non-productive later years. Take appropriate action immediately.REPORT COMMENTS

I support h4 ead rule. This is the least The American government can do to the dependents of the h1b visa holders. Clearing the interview and getting a job will ultimately depend on the individual's capability. All we are asking for is a fair chance to compete. That's it.REPORT COMMENTS

H4 visa - Dependents of H1B visa (most of them females). H1B visa holders are smart and hard working people. They marry to those who definitely have some level of sense, smartness and education. But due to H4 visa restrictions they have to be between four walls of an apartment. The talent goes to vane. They live their life contributing nothing to the society. I hope politicians understand this situation and come out with some meaning reform related to H4 visa work eligibility issue.REPORT COMMENTS

Dear leaders of the land of opportunity, this is my story. I am a proud spouse of an H4 visa holder, who is more qualified (and smarter) than I am. After 6 years on H4, she decided to study, completed her masters degree from a reputed college (well not the Ivy League, but definitely educated enough to pay more taxes than an average American) with a hope to work in USA. Unfortunately, she isn't able to work due to all the issues in getting H1 for a non STEM worker. What lies ahead of us to pure pain & huge disappointment.... definitely not the American Dream. My urge to you is to consider the H-4 EAD proposal... it will surely lead to your profits & benefit this country...REPORT COMMENTS
