It's our duty to take care of them as it's their duty to protect and take care of us and our freedoms. It's the LEAST we can do for them. It was my honor and privilege to serve in the 70's and early 80's, my luck that the worst thing that happened was the 51 day of alert during the Iran Hostage Crisis. I often wondered during those days if "this was it" and I would have to walk the talk with live ammo. By the Grace of God I got through my time without a war, but my heart goes out to those trying to make a new "normal" that doesn't include life and death decisions every other moment...
