This country, with all it's "freedom" and belief that we are a humane, advanced and intelligent society, is SADLY back in the barbaric era of animals not being of importance and only meant to enhance our livelihood! We have played God for too long! We kill, hunt, shun abandon, use and abuse animals in the name of entertainment, profit, sport, more profit, and family memories! It's time we caught up with what much of the rest of the "civilized" world has come to. Protect the animals! They need OUR protection from OUR selves. Stop allowing the animals of this country suffer at our hands, in our streets and homes, backyards, etc.REPORT COMMENTS

They say that a country can be judged by the way it treats it animals. Seeing the way we treat our homeless pets in this country, we pat ourselves on the back way too often for being a "compassionate" people.
