Termination was a horrific crime against Native people and reversals are vital to their culture.

"The Chinook Tribe/Nation of WA. has never been terminate' by the Federal Gov' so stated by former BIA Interior Sec. ADA DEER. We won the battle in BIA court between the tribes we were recently Re-Acknowledged in 2001 by then Interior Secretary Kevin Gover. The BIA does not disagree with our right to be qualified for Federal Recognition. So why hasn't the tribe/nation been re-instated a long time ago.

I am Chinook. Our family has continued to remain connected to our Chinook heritage. We worked with many others to build the Ridgefield plankhouse and participated in the Lewis and Clark reenactments in 2005 We exist and have continuously existed.

I am Chinook and proud to be part of an amazing tribe that cares so much about their heritage and continues to participate and celebrate it everyday. How is it possible that in 2012 we are still fighting to be federally recognized? Why is this still an issue? Please help us accomplish a goal that should have been a reality over a century ago. Mah-sie!

The Chinook wind has moved the sands of time by eternal nature. Not a little here and not so much there, but where times are rules.Inside and outside the blood.Particularly when building lifes bridges of common understanding. The fighting sands of time touches the opponets to clearly distinguish civility or cultural destruction. To not quickly generate the small percent in the name of her son as ended possessions. To tell of her the thick walls are a mistake because you have heard of them and remember this nuance an appelative. That mythology is enthusiasm, that flamboyance is discovery. To have her stay and accomplice more of the rocks than of the fishy bay. Our political vocabulary is confident because promising steps creatures all our favorite concubine.Instincts based deep generosity or our tribesmen.Other companies cutting remarks intoxicated the epitome example that she meticulously moved our lives that day.She is a far cry from the dancers and the difficult life of the energetic with the reputation most wanted and the head to make his success longer. The Chinook wind is ours and we share it naturally or we are daunted. That is our political relationship,it is a embracing firebird to others. Our hearts are rich tradition attributed not of emotional techniques but of a grasshopper promoting perfect ballets. He changes his costume for she moves him time after time to the surface of her soul. You can't say the Chinooks aren't tribe because it's not proper to believe, you can only believe the improper perception of misunderstanding.
