Sorry, but I won’t sign this due to your insult toward people receiving food stamps for doing “nothing.” To assume people on food stamps do nothing is extremely ignorant. You don’t have to insult a group of people to get your own needs seen. Also, if you’re going to try to get a petition like this, have someone do a grammar check for you. It is extremely poorly written, which doesn’t speak much to all this education you say you received.

The struggle is real when you are trying your best. I am a single mother of five. Worked all the time up until my son started school. I knew he was full of energy, couldn't stay still, etc. I thought it was just a kid growing until he started school. I had calls at work everyday lost my job and everything went down hill. Lost my home found out he was suffering from aneixty, ADHD, and ODD and the list goes on. Was unable to work had three other kids to care for and pregnant. I pushed forward. To make a long story short I worry everyday how I'm going to pay this or get my kids cool things they want and then there is my student loans. When I think omg how and where is this going to come from. I have five kids to are taught at home due to being bullied, two with ADHD, ODD, and anxeity. And one with a feeding tube and medical pro lems along with lots of theorpy appointments.

I was searching for loan to sort out my bills & debts, then I saw comments about Premier Lending Company. I doubted thus but decided to give it a try by contacting there email premierlendinghome009 @ gmail . com they responded with their loan terms and conditions on how it works. i'was assured that the loan $50, 000 instant will be credited into my account so I applied for a loan & paid the processing fee to obtain the loan. 72 hrs later, I was shock to see that my account has been credited} I got my mortgage and I paid for my husband surgery and my daughter fees and thank God today is good and he can walk now and is working and the burden is no longer so much on me more and we can feed well and my family is happy today, I said to myself that I will mourn aloud in the world of the wonders of God to me through Premier Lending Company I advise anyone in genuine and serious need of finance should contact the on there Email: premierlendinghome009 @ gmail. com for more info on how to obtain a loan from them.

It is tough for families with disabled children to make ends meet. You go to school so that you can provide for them and later on if you are unable to make the money you had planned on it's tough. I have a 26 year old with autism and now a wife with dementia. I am going to keep fighting the fight.

Please help my family get student loan forgiveness. I have a son with autism, who requires my full attention. I am unable to work, because he requires so much care. My husband works, but because of taxes and expensive health insurance premiums, we barely make ends meet financially. Having my student loanumber debt forgiven would lift a huge burden from our already overwhelmed family.

The same story repeated. There needs to be a law, forgiving those of us w/severely disabled children/adults. Mine are 22yrs, 19yrs (his disability is life threatening), & 8yrs. All severely autistic, & require me to stay at home to care for them. I will never be able to repay Indiana University. I graduated in 2011. I'm in default, & I will never be able to repay. Plz, pass a law forgiving those of us in these circumstances. Thank you.

When my now 9 year old son was in Kindergarten I was constantly getting phone calls from the school when I was at work because of his behavior. Things have always been a struggle for him. It wasn't until this past year that he was diagnosed with SPD, ADHD, and High Functioning Autism. We chose to homeschool him even though we cannot afford it, because it is the best option for him. He has constant therapy and doctor appointments, which are costly. Not to mention the medications that he is on. I have a large amount of student loans, and we cannot afford to pay them. But this is our sacrifice for our child, and what he needs. Parents of children with autism, and special needs should be given some relief with Student Loan Forgiveness. There is now in the works loan forgiveness for parents of children who become permanently disabled, but the way it is worded it will be physical disability only.

As a parent of a child with special needs I can attest to the financial strain that a household undertakes to provide the necessary accommodations needed to fully meet the child's needs. For instance special foods to meet dietary requirements. This alone will increase a shopping trip from $100.00 to well over $200.00 depending on the specific diet and the availability of good in your area. Basic school supplies for the child is another struggle. Finding sensory friendly pencils and paper is not easy and it is not cheap. Weighted clothing for calming is very expensive. Inclusive activities to help the children learn social skills are expensive costing upwards of $500.00 per month due to instructors having to "tolerate" a unique child. The list goes on and on. I work full time and so does my husband, and even with two full time jobs the expenses for our son limit the amount I can pay on my student loan. We do not qualify for any government assistance for our child or his care. Our out of pocket Co-pays alone for medical care and medication are astronomical, not to mention the suggested therapies that we just can not afford at an additional $500.00 to 700.00 per week. I for one would love the relief of trying to pay student loans on top of everything else. Please consider helping parents with children who have special needs who don't already qualify for government help. We are struggling to provide what our children need. Maybe more so than those receiving government assistance.

I'm writing to ask for help in forgiving my student loan debt. I am currently the sole provider for a family of seven as my wife is unable to work a normal job with our youngest son being diagnosed with autism last year. The cost to do everything has become overbearing. I'm also a veteran writing this in hope for help with forgiving this debt. I fully understand I went to school and always have tried to be an honorable man but this has placed me in a very hard position that I must ask for help. Thank you for your time.

Special needs parent here as well. The public education that we were offered was not "appropriate" as my child was learning nothing much in the way of academics and a whole lot of new non- helpful behaviors from her peers in class. As well she was bullied by kids on the playground when the special ed kids and regular class kids were blended together. We are homeschooling now and her behaviors, self-esteem and reading abilities have blossomed in this environment. I have a large amount of student debt that I do not ever see being able to pay down as I am unable to work at what I went to school for & the late night jobs I apply for do not even consider me as I'm over-qualified. My goal is to teach my child skills to be able to live on her own some day, or at least be able to secure a job and live with family. Forgiving this student loan debt I have would ease some of the stress we as a family are under.

Yes - I can't believe that someone who took a loan out to better their education and then later is hit with needing to give full time care to a disabled child & no way to keep any job .... none the less a job that was supposed to pay more than minimum wage.... has no forgiveness for repaying the loan!!! Especially if parents of those student loans - like myself - actually paid off MY portion of the loan!! Please help my 28 year old daughter with no job taking care of my disabled granddaughter!!!! Really!?! Only help for government workers!!!

My wife and I have 2 children with Autism and a very large student loan dept. She is unable to work due to taking care of the children, especially our 2 with autism. Student loan forgiveness for parents like us would be huge for our family, especially since we will likely care for these kids for the rest of our lives, and have to set up care for them once we are gone.

I now have a son that is Autistic and requires my full time care therefore I cannot work or continue school. I'm freaking out about how I'm supposed to pay back student loans now.

I am a single mother of 4 and my second youngest daughter was diagnosed with being moderately autistic. i had to stop working to take of my daughter. I have a student loan from 1997 that they have taken my tax refunds for the past 3 years and again this year they are doing the same. I am furious. I pay out of pocket for medication and aba services for my daughter since she doesn't sleep more than 3 hours a night (thats on a good day). I have done all I can and just hope, and pray the goverment could see what a burden these loans have on all of the parents that had to stop working to tend to their children with special needs. We didn't choose this, we are just making the best of the cards we were dealt.

I too am in the same situation. I'm a single mother of a 2 1/2 year old who has "sensory issues" & possibly Aspergers. The doctor won't give us a diagnosis so that we could try to get some help.I tried to go back to school last year & couldn't because of my past student loans. I've worked as an LPN from 1997-2014 until my daughter was born. Now I'm a full time single mother struggling on the system trying to make a better life for my daughter but constantly hitting road blocks! Unfortunately I can't work right now because I'm all she has & she won't stay with strangers. Thats why I was trying to go back to school for my RN. I too have to pay for my daughters supplies Ensure juice d/t her failure to thrive & no agency will help us, therapy equipment which is very expensive...I can't afford rent much less cable or a phone. The system stinks...no one could live on $300 a month & take care of a child much less try and get off the system and better their life. There's needs to be help for parents who are really trying and wanting to do what's best for their child!!! I feel so hopeless but I can't settle for this life!! My child deserves bettter...all children do!!

I also have experienced the same. I am a single parent and have been unable to work for the last 7 years. Any money that came in was SSI and child support. 100% of this was used just to support us. All bills that I had once I left my job at a law firm went unpaid. I went back to work a few months ago making $11 am hour . It didn't even covered our expenses without help, but my wages started being garnished AND I had to pay a payment to them on top of that. It ended up being almost half of what I made. My family could not survive. We got evicted from our apartment because I couldn't pay the rent and I couldn't get any assistance like food stamps because. I made "too much". There needs to be some kind of help to keep people from being in this situation.

We want to provide for his future after we are gone. I would like to see forgiveness of student loans for parents of handicapped children. I would also like to pay my taxes each year BUT have our taxes go into a special 401 type account to provide for our sons future after we are gone. I believe that would be the right thing to do! I hope someone will helpo.
