I, as a citizen of the United States of America, am here to voice my opinion on starting another pointless war on the grounds of "National Security". I would almost understand if this was a humanitarian mission but unfortunately, it seems as though our President is starting this war without the input of this nation to once again "keep us safe from terrorism". The statistics do not lie, and any one of us are more likely to die from a car accident or smoking cigarettes each day than to be killed by a terrorist. I also believe that by going into the countries that we have thoroughly destroyed, we are only creating MORE "terrorists". If my family was killed by a bomb which was dropped on my home, I can not say that I would not seek revenge against the ones who were responsible for dropping that bomb. What are our countries true intentions? I have spoken my mind, and am doing my civic duty to stop this before it begins. I hope that my voice is heard, along with the others who have chosen to sign this petition. Enough of the killing. Enough of the war machine eating through my hard earned money. Lets focus on some REAL issues that can once again make this the most prosperous nation on earth. Lets bring back a living wage. Lets do something to make our economy flourish. Lets focus on peoples health. Lets direct our attention on educating the youth of this nation. Lets stop the vicious cycle that we have created.
