My family adopted a retired 3 year old race horse that was saved before he made it to the slaughter house due to a fixable injury. He has lived an amazing life at our farmette for the last 18+ years taking trail rides through our local state almost every day. I think it is imperative that there are stonger regulations set & enforced that hold trainers, owners & breeders to a high standard of accountability in how they care for horses that should be retired, not euthanized, if they are not performing to the level at which the human expects. I also feel it is imperative that regulations be set to hold the same humans, as well as track owners & care takers to a higher standard of accountability for managing the safety of the tracks on which these horses run. It's one thing to fire an underperforming athlete, but there is no need to kill them. There are great retired horse farms throughout our country, could you also consider providing more financial aid to those farms that support those animals that are left for dead? Thank you for your time.REPORT COMMENTS

Have you forgotten all about your humanity? Your duty; your dignity, your soul? Think about what horses have done for your ancestors throughout history? Have some respect! Are you a Catholic, Christian, spiritual? Then start acting like one! Think deeply about your life and who you will need answer to when you leave this earth. All creation, God has made (which include you) is divine. Stop drugging horses, stop abusing them and disposing of them like trash when they have made you $$$ and died for it! I know what you think, "it's just a horse" right? Wrong! It's natures creature of the earth. Shame on you all. Let's start doing the right thing! First, start with finding your soul again. 2nd, be a leader and change the rules. Have stricter regulations and fire those who don't follow them! Don't use and abuse nature, if you do, you will pay in the end. For nature has her laws too. Stop abusing our Mother!REPORT COMMENTS

There is no need to promote an industry than inhumanely furthers "disposable" animals. People want to gamble on-line, let's let them do it and stop this barbaric industry.REPORT COMMENTS
