I am absolutely horrified at the thought of even a remote possibility that the US Navy could be granted permission to increase their sonar testing. A record 31 million marine mammals will be injured and killed, at the very least their lives disrupted during Naval training exercises off the Atlantic, Hawaii, and Southern California Coast Range during the 5 year period if the permits are granted. I appreciate the Navy?s ability to defend and protect, but their training and exercises should NOT be at the expense of the life of our oceans, nor at the expense of the innocent lives within our oceans. Additionally, I am outraged that NOAA has proposed that the general public should not have the right to appeal--are you kidding me? Our democracy was founded on inclusion and not exclusion & what NOAA is doing is effectively excluding us from this process. When our fundamental rights have been violated again it is the responsibility of you as elected officials to fairly arbitrate.REPORT COMMENTS
