This codifies a sentiment that most people I have talked to for the past 50 years have been saying. To fix the fiscal problems the country has, the lawmakers must be subject to the same laws as are we, the People. Congress should retire on Social Security, their payments calculated solely on the income they paid the taxes on. No extra retirement benes paid for by the citizenry... they have their successful law practices and other businesses, through which they surely set up retirement plans. No elite health care packages, they should be covered by the same thing as are we, the People. Make THIS the law, and see how soon both become reasonable programs that take care of everyone - the citizenry AS WELL as our SERVANTS in government.REPORT COMMENTS
