As a dog lover who has seen many acts of abuse, and neglect toward animals, the people must take a stand and accept responsibility for the "slap on the wrist" punishment given to abusers. It is time to stand and make a change that is so vital to our society. As the one thousand, one hundred and seventy third person to send this letter, I am begging that you make this change. I understand that in many people's eyes this subject may be off the priority list, but it isn't. Making this change would show that America's tolerance toward cruelty is short, and that humane treatment to various living beings is something nothing short of mandatory.REPORT COMMENTS
