Five day delivery would not only be an inconvenience, but it would also be disastrous to those who rely solely on the postal service as their means of communication, such as the elderly and families and individuals in the rural communities. Although the postal service may need to eliminate costs, five day delivery is not the answer for its financial difficulties. The postal service needs to remember why it was created: to serve the American people, not to be a profit driven organization. -
