As a rural letter carrier in an office short of substitute carriers, taking any time off, even for family emergencies is extremely difficult. I work so hard every day on my ever growing route. Adding all the mail from Saturdays to Mondays will be physically challenging! I invite you to come to Virginia Beach and ride my route with me next Tuesday, the day after a holiday, and you will have a better understanding of what many mail carriers experience!REPORT COMMENTS
