Restoring family visits to lifers is a great management tool for CDCR. As things stand now Lifers have absolutely nothing to lose really, but if visits were restored they would be much easier to manage as they would not want to lose that privelege. Family bonding is very important and the family members on the outside deserve to have a chance to bond with their loved ones. There are children and grandchildren involved that would benefit greatly from a strong bond with an incarcerated father, mother, grandmother or grandfather. The Famlies of incarcerated loved ones are innocent, but are punished as if they themselves have committed a crime, when their only crime is loving and caring for someone who is incarcerated.REPORT COMMENTS

Please give conjucal visits back to lifers. So many of them, mine included were barely kids who made serious mistakes. It is not fair to deny these men who have since truly turned their lives around for the better, despite where they are. Please think about your own loved ones, in the blink of an eye mixed up in some serious mishap that they never intended to happen. But because they were at the wrong place at the wrong time, they are now spending life, imprisoned in a system of no hope. Family and friends are these men and womens only ray's of light. It is not that hard to determine eligiblity based off of recorded behavior. You would be more than happy to do it if it was your son, daughter, mother, father, brother, sister, wife or husband.
