I'm embarrassed by the way my home state of South Dakota has treated this man. But ultimately, it's the Federales.

Leonard Peltier, innocent of the crime the FBI and prosecutors conspired to accuse him of committing, has a human right to medical treatment. He is America's Nelson Mandela! Set him free, but first, ensure his human right to medical treatment. Gil Villagran, MSW Lecturer, School of Social Work San Jose State University

Leonard Peltier is an innocent man. He was wrongfully charged, his trial was a travesty of justice and he was denied most of his constitutional rights. The time has come to release Leonard from prison, assist him to immediately get the medical attention he needs to maintain the little bit of health he still has and then he can go home to his tribe.

It is a national shame and a stain on America's human rights violations that Leonard Peltier is still imprisoned. This honorable man who is considered a hero, martyr, beloved elder and leader of his people. I know that our bloody history has done many atrocities to our Native American peoples that can NEVER be rectifies, but we can start by getting this wonderful man some urgent MEDICAL TREATMENT! WHERE IS THE JUSTICE AND COMPASSION OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE? JOANIE RODRIGUEZ

Free Mr. Pelter. He is sick and aged now. What good are you doing by holding him politically captive after all these years. He should have been freed many years ago. Do what is right by him. What are you waiting for?
