Soring is so obviously and extremely abusive to horses that it's long past time that real outside inspections be conducted by those who have nothing to gain financially from the practice: stop trusting the virtually useless self-policing system by the very groups that abuse horses in such a manner.

Please...do something to stop this horrific abuse that the Tennessee Walker big lick horses endure on a daily basis. Yes, daily. Show what the new and "improved" congress can do by doing something....before the holiday recess and whatever other vacations are taken. Please stop this practice.

I have witnessed the damage caused by the cruel soring of walking horses and am appalled that no action has been taken to date to stop these practices. Please pass the PAST Act this year and spare these beautiful animals needless pain and suffering. Thank you

If you have any questions about the horrors of this abusive training method, please do a computer search for "horse soring" and "Big Lick". The photos and x-rays of the instruments of torture and the cruelly abnormal gait they create are shocking!

This abuse has been going on for far too long. The industry cannot police itself. The only way this abuse will stop is through the passage of this bill, HR1518/S1406, i.e. The PAST Act. The action devices must be eliminated as well as the HIO system. Causing this abuse should be a felony and incur stiffer penalties if the law is defied. I ask you to help move this bill through the legislative system now. Please use your influence to bring this to a vote on the floors of Congress before the end of the year!

As an owner of 5 Walking Horses, I assure you the breed and the industry desperately needs your help to have this legislation become law so the industry and breed can thrive. We can not do this without your help. I urge you to take action and move S1406/HR1518 along before it is too late!

Bipartisan support by a vast majority in both the House and the Senate. Campaign contributions to *leadership* should not block a vote~!! Congress should be doing the business of THE PEOPLE, not special interest groups with deep pockets~!!!
