I have owned, showed, trained, and bred horses almost my entire adult life, and rode whenever possible as a child. I have an interest in ALL horses and the welfare of the horse industry is one of my lifelong concerns. What the "big lick" does to the horse industry is abominable. If we allow this cancer to continue, it will give the general public a perception of the horse show industry that would be extremely detrimental to both the horses' well-being and the economy of many states. Please stop horse soring! It's the worst practice I've seen in 30 years being intimately involved with the horse show industry!!Nov 6th, 2014Someone from Beecher, IL signed.

Soring is a cruel and painful act to submit a horse to. If you dont believe me do it to your feet and see how you like it! We need to start to realize that animals have feeling feel pain loss and hurt, we are not alone in the pain and feelings department. So when you look at an animal being miss handled put your self in his shoes then make a discussion, then maybe you will make the best one for the animal. It is time for us humans to protect and love our animals instead of hurting them. We know the facts now do the right thingREPORT COMMENTS

Horses are majestic creatures that should not be treated cruelly or abuse or slaughtered. They roamed the United Stated wild before domesticated. Some are still wild and free. Do what Iis right for them just like the American Indian these lands belong to the horses and we must do right if we expect to share this land with themREPORT COMMENTS

All horses regardless of breed or not should be treated with kindness. This action is unnatural, & needs to stop now. The abuse is inhumane to get horses to do this action! Not acceptable in a civil society.REPORT COMMENTS

No animal should suffer this way for "tradition." There is a better way being acted out by other groups who truly love this animal, a way without violence or torture. Put an end to the suffering of these beautiful, majestic, wonderful creatures of creation!REPORT COMMENTS
