There needs to be more education out there before a child is diagnosed so parents can recognize the signs early. My son had a flat spot on his head due to torticollis, which he was born with. I had never heard of torticollis and seeing as he had severe reflux thought it was better that he turned his head to the side to sleep so that he wouldn't choke on his spit up while lying on his back. If the education had been make available to me I would have tried to correct the issue sooner and then maybe he would not have needed a helmet, even though I am so thankful for the helmet which helped correct his flat spot beautifully!REPORT COMMENTS

My son was diagnosed with Plagiocephaly and Torticollis when he was 2 months old. We went through treatment and came out with great results. After our experience I started to notice that both my daughters should have been diagnosed with Plagiocephaly as well. They are both over the age to complete treatment.
