This is largely a totally preventable problem, we need to help these parents and children.! It affects more children than any other problem we know.Aug 2nd, 2016Someone from Blowing Rock, NC signed.

My 8 year old daughter has torticollis and was diagnosed when she was 2 months old are she also has plagiocephaly. We need a day for awareness so people can learn about it.REPORT COMMENTS

It is unfortunate that insurance providers (especially Tricare which serves the military) will not cover plagiocephaly interventions, especially helmets. Their policy states that they will only cover it once it becomes so bad that surgical intervention is required. This is ridiculous! Long before it is that severe, damage can be done to the jaw, ears, and eyesight. So my insurance has to cover birth control, but not a condition that threatens my child's functioning and overall health?REPORT COMMENTS
