My son is 19 with plagiocephaly. He was born in 1994 with torticollis in when the back to sleep program was in full force. We were not told about the cranial helmet when we expressed a concern to our pediatrician about our sons head flattening on the back at the age of 3 months. We were told he would grow out of it and later found in his records that the doctors discussed the helmet amongst themselves and decided it was not necessary since the condition was cosmetic and would be covered by hair when he got older. My son has struggled growing up with skull and facial deformities and still struggles as a college student.REPORT COMMENTS
