I am tired of being arrested and paying so much in fines for $20 worth of marijuana. Texas has ruined my life because of its harsh rules. We are led to believe that these kinds of petitions work, but they don't. It's all a game to the government , and they won't listen to the people unless there is a major incentive for them first. Stop putting me in jail my parents are tired of talking to the cops. I would love to leave Texas, but my entire family is here...and I would become so sad if I lived thousands of miles away from them in a state where marijuana is legal or decriminalized. I smoke marijuana to get a nice night of sleep due to lower lumbar pain from an active lifestyle. I work hard, I pay my taxes, and I've been taught to be a productive citizen in my community. I'm clean, well groomed, I don't drink alcohol, I'm non violent, I respect my elders, I respect my boss, my work,, my friends, but I can't respect the laws against marijuana. What you people do to marijuana users is disgusting and there is a special place in hell for all people who still believe that the harshest punishment should be applied to a marijuana user. Once I change my families mind about leaving Texas, we are out of here.Aug 7th, 2016Someone from Harker Heights, TX signed.

I wish i could smoke. Not to just get high. So i would be able to go to sleep. I have a very hard time going to sleep and taking melatonin and other sleeping aids make me drowsy through the next day which hurts my job performance and makes me just plain lazy throught the day sometimes i have smoked marijuana before bed for a couple weeks once and it helped tremendously. Being able to fall asleep 10-15 minuets after i laid down was great and i woke up feeling very rested and refreshed and also more productive through the day. I support the legalization of marijuana.REPORT COMMENTS

Thank you so much, I just loathe you, WHY????? I have Gastroparesis, 3 forms of arthritis and Raynauds. I went 8 months with one one tolerable flare a month. Now I'm back to 1-2 a week and not tolerable, I can't stand either one of you, this is my life and both big brother government and pharma has cut me off my meds. WHY??? THIS IS MY LIFE NOT YOUR'S!!! If something is working for me why did you take it. You are not my dictator! I was cut off my meds due to the fact I had thc in my system that could not be traced to marinol. If I had their thc in me I would have been treated, but seeing how I didn't they told me they couldn't see me again. Where is the justice in that?????????REPORT COMMENTS

Too many people have lost their family, job, and any ability to live a normal life thanks to the government getting upset over a harmless plant. Why can't we all just enjoy a bit of weed and have fun? Why must we endure this unfair treatment that isn't posed against cigarette smokers or alcoholics? Because the government can't tax private sales!REPORT COMMENTS

I personally believe that legalizing marijuana in Oklahoma would bring in a lot of revenue and I would use it first of all for my anxiety and depression it relaxes me and helps tremendously with my anxiety Please legalize it, it is definitely worth it and keep the prisons for the Heroin, Meth, cocaine dealers, Murderers, Pedophiles, Rapists and Robbers Marijuana is not man made only the bad stuff. I was in Vietnam in 5/6/67 spent whole 19th birthday there as I was born 4/25/48. Went to town after about 2 months and a fellow soldier smoked marijuana with me and it made me feel relaxed, at home and happy even though I was a very dangerous place. I now suffer from PTSD and have heard they can pull my medicines if I come up dirty for marijuana because it's illegal federally. It's very helpful to ease the anxiety and depression associated with PTSD. The DEA's war on opiate drugs has an average of 22 verterans per day taking their own lives due to the debilitating pain that they can no longer control. Marijuana is has been found to help pain patients. So why is it still a schedule one narcotic. Harry Anslinger classified it as a schedule 1 narcotic after prohibition ended in order to keep his men working. It does have medical benefits, mentally and physically. Now that pain doctors are unable to treat their patients for pain it's only wise to deschedule marijuana. Also, it would take away the crimes to illegally distribute it, growing it on federal properties and bring in much needed tax money for our economy. Wise choices need to be made to keep the people of this country in mind. It seems of something brings a person relief, they want to make sure you don't have legal access to it. Why can't we have some relief??? Is it a goal to keep the American people down, broke and in pain. In Illinois they cannot even come up with a budget but can raise the smoking age to 21??? 🤑 Our congress members get paid 1.4 million per month yet they cannot pay the states bills. If marijuana was legal the tax alone would help exponentially, unless of course the crooked politicians find a way to line their pockets with that money too. Make a positive difference for this country. It's a shame that men who have served our country are unable to find relief for their anxiety, PTSD and pain.REPORT COMMENTS
