I think 7 grams a month is far less that i would like to see, states have legalized up to an ounce in possession. I am however going to sign because this is the start.

It's been proven to be safer than alcohol and it's not nearly as harmful as people think it is. It's only considered dangerous and unhealthy because it's illegal. I know plenty of college graduates who smoked weed everyday in college. I know some who even went on to grad school. Phil Jackson was a stoner and became the greatest NBA head coach of all-time. Michael Phelps smokes weed and he's the greatest Olympian of all-time. Damn, our PRESIDENT admitted that he used to smoke weed back in the day. If these are the people who've smoked nothing but a plant, why is it so bad?

I do not like feeling euphoric and I am not interested in Marijuana for that reason. I'm interested in trying medical Marijuana for the treatment of my unexplained chronic pain in my upper back. I'm allergic to all narcotics except hydrcodone which I have been on for 5 years. They barely take the edge of my pains but I refuse to take more than prescribed so I suffer tremendously. My pain Dr said he believes that medical Marijuana may help alleviate my pains but it's illegal where I live. It was just repealed this yen Missouri and I will not try street Marijuana. I want it legalized for all states and that can be done federally. Legalize medicinal Marijuana please

I was diagnosed with Bipolar Type 2, Major Depressive Disorder, & Severe Deprresive Disorder. I was on 4 different kinds of medicine, along with a mood stabilizer, and a sleeping aide. After months of struggling to live a normal life and always struggling I started smoking marijuana in order to help with my anxiety. Now, almost a year later I'm completely medicine free and sleeping well due smoking cannabis. I now live a happier life, with minimal effects of anxiety or depression. I'm currently a full time college student studying to get my nursing degree and the manager at a local fast food restraurant! I fully support the national legalization of marijuana because I believe that it has the potential to help so many people that are struggling!

I am an army veteran of OIF. I am currently prescribed several medications which are far more dangerous than "pot," that is, if you can even reasonably consider marijuana "dangerous." Taking these drugs concerns me very seriously. I have found that smoking marijuana could replace those harmful drugs that I have to take.

Insys Therapeutics, which profits off of a painkiller 50 times more potent than heroin, has donated $500,000 to a campaign opposing marijuana legalization in the US state of Arizona. The maker of the drug Subsys, a sublingual fentanyl spray, said that children are their main concern for fighting Proposition 205, which appears on the ballot this November.?They want to be able to push their far more addictive, far more harmful and far more dangerous opioid drugs,? JP Holyoak, chair of the committee pushing Prop 205, told the Arizona Capitol Times.Supporters of cannabis legalization say legal access to their natural non-addictive painkiller could eliminate the need for drugs like fentanyl, which contributes to America?s growing epidemic of opioid dependency that claims more lives each year than gunshot wounds or car crashes.Prince died from an overdose of fentanyl and one third of Ohio?s 3,050 deaths caused by lethal drug consumption last year were linked to the drug, according to the Columbus Dispatch.A 2014 study by John Hopkins University found that states which legalized medical marijuana had 25 percent less overdose deaths from prescription drugs than those where it remained illegal.Insys said in a statement that its opposition to the legalization of cannabis was ?because it fails to protect the safety of Arizona?s citizens, and particularly its children.?It did not address whether the outcome could have financial benefits for the company, although all of its profits come from the sale of its only product - the fentanyl-containing spray, according to its August filing.Last month, Illinois Attorney General, Lisa Madigan, brought a lawsuit against Insys over claims they had deceptively marketed and sold their medication to doctors for uses other than cancer treatment, which the FDA has approved its sole use for.Madigan said the company?s "desire for increased profits led it to disregard patients' health and push addictive opioids for non-FDA approved purposes."Insys became the largest contributor to the anti-legalization campaign after donating to Arizonans for Responsible Drug Policy, a group opposing the initiative to regulate marijuana in the state under Prop 205. Their donation was over 400 percent higher than the next largest donor, the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with $110,000.Pro-legalization campaigners have called for the donation to be returned as it has now tainted the campaign against Prop 205. ?We hope that every Arizonan understands that Arizonans for Responsible Drug Policy is now a complete misnomer. Their entire campaign is tainted by this money. Any time an ad airs against Proposition 205, the voters should know that it was paid for by highly suspect Big Pharma actors,? Holyoak said. When questioned by the Arizona Capitol Times about donations made to the Marijuana Policy Project in support of Prop 205, Holyoak did not dispute that several out-of-state interest donors ?stand to make millions if Prop 205 p

Marijuana is the most effective remedy I have tried over the past 15 years I have found for my anxiety. Doctors have pescribed me many different pills that either didn't work or had such bad withdraws or side effects I quit taking them. Marijuana improves my quality of life dramatically, I'm a better person and a better employee when I have a little bit of marijuana, it does not impair me in the least. I can focus on the task at hand and I can calm down and put my mind at ease. The fact that popular opinion is that it is a danger and should be illegal troubles me to no end. It is painfully obvious to those it helps it should be avaliable to adults to use medicinally or as a safe alternative to relax at the end of a hard day ( as opposed to alcohol that kills and causes many health problems) please make this PLANT legal and stop the ridiculous prosucution of responsible people that only seek relief
