Companies do not hire by conducting a random selection, then why lose on a job offer due to a lottery? Talented individuals will always have jobs; could be in any other country. It is the economy of the country that conducts such a lottery that suffers.

Depending on lottery for visas is unfortunate and highly undesirable. Desi companies get the chunk of H1Bs, leaving US Masters holders' fate hanging in balance

Very unfair to someone who worked very hard to graduate from US and get a job only to lose to luck. Please increase the cap limit ASAP.

The Indian Companies submit lot of h1b visa due to the l1b denials. Overall these companies consume about 10k of the h1b visa. This is just unfair to the rest of the companies.
