As a Federal Police Officer for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, I am directly responsible for the protection of personnel and property under Federal jurisdiction. This is to include vehicle identification checkpoints, vehicle patrol, uniformed and undercover patrols and fixed posts. I am also responsible for issuance of summonses for violations and or make arrests accordingly. Regular duties also include preliminary investigations, preparation of reports for incidents and accidents, non-criminal Police emergencies and arrests. Trained and authorized in the Oleoresin Capsicum weapon, pr-24 side handle baton, and the 9mm firearm.
