Do not support this bill! How about congress taking a pay cut rather than giving themselves a raise they don't deserve.REPORT COMMENTS

To my "representatives" in Washington. Do NOT pass this bill, we Americans are being taxed and legislated to death. Start taking action to reduce the debt and start cutting services (go pay a visit to local social services and see what's doing down there - people who clearly don't need money having very expensive cell phones, hairdos, clothing, manicures, look like they rarely miss a meal, etc.) and start actually following a BUDGET like hard-working responsible Americans are doing each and every day while we are getting killed with taxes. And, while you're at it, seal the damn borders so we're not paying to take care of Obama's aunt who never paid a dime into the system, and the hundreds of thousands who cross the border in Mexico and pop out anchor baby after anchor baby.REPORT COMMENTS

I know Congress thinks of us as "Homer Simpson," but this is just another way for you to get your hands on our money. This Congress will never abolish Income Tax!REPORT COMMENTS

it might only be 1% now but once this is in effect they could raise it. our pay is already being taxed enough without taxing it again at the bank. how are we supposed to pay our bills when everyone is losing their jobs, utilities are going up, being taxed even more and cant get any help from the government because they tell you you make too much money. the working class people are being screwed over again.REPORT COMMENTS

Over the 45+ years I've been a tax payor each and every time I've heard about a "New" tax for only a specific purpose for a specific period of time - the United States Congress has out & out lied to me - finding some way or other to continue the tax for yet another bondogel. I say NO more taxation. My income growth has been stopped by this administration yet each and every congrestional and senatorial individual will increase their income substantially. Each and every year for the rest of their lives. For every one percent increase in my retirement income (about $47,000) each of the three individuals that are suppose to represent their constituents increase their pay more than $2,400.00 for the house of representives and substantially more for the senators. Give me a break - besides what each of them are stealing from lobbist. I say NO MORE. If we don't stand up for our self now, then when is it going to happen?REPORT COMMENTS
