Maybe the politicians should have the people that are involved with the Bilderberg group repay the national debt. It only because of our relations with them and the Federal Reserve that we are involved with all this mess. Everyone look this up and check it out. -

I didn't believe this when I first read about it. What is becoming of our country??? Have all the politicians gone crazy? This would certainly hurt our economy more because people will start hiding what they have. Transactions will go underground. Our Congressmen and women have to come to their senses or they certainly wont be voted back into office.REPORT COMMENTS

What happened to "No one will see one penny of new taxes." Once passed the tax rate can be raised at the will of Congress and 1% isn't one percent when the 1% charge is added to every transaction we make.REPORT COMMENTS

I certainly don't mind paying a tax that is justified and necessary - let's say on my home, land, etc. And I don't mind paying sales tax on items I elect to purchase. However, a tax on transactions at the bank is a real good way to put the banks out of business when the majority of people who think this is a dumb idea join the ones who understand the governmental control freaks behind it trying to make back the money they've frivolously wasted off the same people already paying for it, and these groups combined with 'all about me' people who aren't going to put themselves in a position to be hurt by it....decide to stop using banks altogether. This is not the way. This will make the situation worse and not better, and it is time our government starts looking at things from a business point of view instead of acting like the very businesses that stem the little bit of growth we might feel now and then, are there for the sole purpose of paying the governments bills! You could just put us all on welfare I guess, and get it over with.REPORT COMMENTS

This country will NEVER get any better until Washington stops taxing us to death. Everyone there should take a HUGH pay cut and be demanded to live like we do and not have the pension plans and insurance plans they do...they definitely aren't earning it with what they have done to this country...Do away with Welfare unless you are elderly ... don't pay for women to have children.. have prices cut on necessities. come down to the level of the people then you would know how we feel and have to live. FAIR TAX is the ONLY TAX we should have..then everyone would be paying for the priviledge of living in this great country..but it won't be great for long unless we the people do something..since Washington has pretty well proven their're not going to do anything but damage us more. We do have a CONSTITUTION to live by and NOBODY should be above especially the president.REPORT COMMENTS

This is just another stupid idea the administration has come up with for middle income america, who pays most of the taxes. Most low income, welfare recipients do not have bank accts or any financial institute transaction! Create JOBS get people off WELFARE! You have already created a HUGE deficit, STOP! I tell you each Congressman/woman, Senator, President, St. Rep,VP you do not take a paycheck for 1 yr, apply the money to the deficit, see if that helps!REPORT COMMENTS

When my bank is paying less than 1% on my funds deposited there, I don't think the government should be able to take 1% of every transaction I make. If you pass this bill you will find people putting their money in fruit jars in the cellar or under the mattress.REPORT COMMENTS

The current administration is out of control, we need change but not the kind they have proposed. Fire them all!!!!The US needs a certainty of NO MORE TAXES and NO INCREASES of current taxes so that businesses will invest and hire and the economy will improve. We also need less government spending, a 1% cut per year across the board for about 10 years should do it to balance the federal budget! We should also make our elected representatives stand up and be counted about this proposed new tax now, so we can un-elect the ones in favor of it in November. Such a tax would only hurt the economy!REPORT COMMENTS
