To include Department Of Veterans Affairs Police! VA police started as security however over the last 10 years became Law Enforcement Officers and stand in the same pay rate as any other GS-6 in the hospital. These men and women face dangerous situations time to time and should be getting paid as such! VA police officers are well over looked by the Federal Government however are becoming the fastest growing uniformed Federal Police service in the Nation. I have seen with my own eyes a man whom stole a Veterans identity and used over 1 million dollars in VA care get charged just this pass week! All started with a stop and question by a VA Police Officer in West Palm Beach! Please pass this ASAP for you have VA police and many other agencies under paid and leaving there service for state and city jobs due to pay and retirement!!! We need this passed thank you!REPORT COMMENTS

You should be ashamed of yourselves living lavish lives while people like me and others who wake up everyday to work 12 plus hours and only get so many days off fight not only against crime but those who leave us to work holidays and not see our families. Ours kids and families live their lives every second of the day wondering when will I see daddy or mommy or when will we be able to afford this and that. It will take literally my entire ****ing life to get a retirement even after being in the military surviving wars and dedicating my life to my country I get ****ed twice. Hey thanks for the awesome job you do to think about us lower class people. A person at McDonalds will retire before I will even better yet my kids who are still in elementary school will probably retire before me! Stay classy!!REPORT COMMENTS

I would appreciate a review of this petition in light of increasingly difficult job the federal police 0083's have taken the burden of. It has only become increasingly harder to recruit and retain law enforcement as a whole and the federal police community has felt this disparity. In the realm of seeking fisical responsibility incentives such as greater pay and retirement would be beneficial for retaining highly qualified officers; in doing so, saving tax payers dollars in training costs overall. Please take this petition into deep consideration. Thank you for your time.REPORT COMMENTS
