My wife has been a stay-at-home mom for 6 years. It seems she need to stay at home for another 6 years to file the I-485. That's terrible to waste 12 year's life time. My son went to college last year, and he will be 21 year old soon. He got no work permit and any financial aids. Even the illegal immigrant like his age can legally work in US now. So I think the H4 visa work should extend to H4 child too.REPORT COMMENTS

The US Government and USCIS should shape up. Optimistically naturalization through employment H1-B would take over 10 years? For a professional with 15 years of experience it is becoming a humiliation because of all the paperwork and delays. There is technology out there to do a full background check in 30 seconds, almost globally.
