I am an army wife. I am proud of my husband for his support for this country. Deployments already cost enough to get ready for, Socks, underwear, towels, washclothes, deoderant, shampoo soap razors, saving cream, are just a few things that are not provided to our soldiers, We had to provide at least a 2 month supply in advance for all these items a month before deployment even started. I really dont find it fair to us that we dont automatically provide the soldier with these items at no cost. The leaving of the family and friends is already a burden enough!!Apr 26th, 2010Someone from Torrington, CT signed.

Internet access is not a luxury for those deployed; it is a necessity. The time is overdue to start taking care of those who take care of us.REPORT COMMENTS

It is neccessary that our service men and women stay connected to the world and families for mental stability to have balance so they can do there jobs to the best of their ability.REPORT COMMENTS

As a service member in Afghanistan watching my young soldiers spend $100 a month to be able to talk or Skype with their children, wives, husbands and parent, completely support this petition and believe it more than warrants attention at the Congressional level. It's not much of a choice when soldiers rely on the Internet as a primary means of communication and overall well-being. Soldiers will always choose to spend the money to stay connected to their homes and normal everyday lives because it is one of the few ways to steady morale and in many cases, improve it. The question is, should they have to pay for this service when their is overwhelming national support to have this necessity granted them as a right, not a privilege? Thank you for you consideration.REPORT COMMENTS
