The DEA is NOT my Doctor. Allow them to practice medicing without fear of Scrutiny from you. I have a feeling there are much more pressing problems that need your attention, that happens every day!!!

I'm 43 years old. I'm a wife, mom, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, niece, full time employee. I used to love my life. Now, because of years of untreated chronic pain, I have written suicide notes to my loved ones. I have become a DNR/DNI patient. I have no desire to continue on this road. But it's not the fault of my loved ones. For years, I have lived with nerve pain in my leg. I have numerous back issues that have lead to my pain number at a 7 on a good day. I have sciatica 24/7. I have an ankle damaged from severe arthritis, bone spurs and stress fractures that didn't heal properly. I have pelvic pain due to a damaged S1 joint. And I've also had several bouts of kidney stones recently, probably due to attempting to ease my pain with ibuprofen. The final straw was this week when a NP labeled me. She wrote my name and her "diagnosis" before she even laid eyes on me. How is that acceptable? Do you know how that feels? I'll tell you. It makes me feel like giving up. I don't want to die. But this isn't living. Not for me or anyone else with chronic pain. Please don't give me a suicide hotline to call. It won't ease the sharp, tearing, shooting, throbbing, stabbing pain in my body. I just want my life back before the DEA, PROP, and all the people who label pain patients as "drug seekers" take it away. I have no interest in getting high. I just want function, for myself and my loved ones.

Any person with a chronic disease should not go to doctors why ? If it is blood pressure medicine and you have high blood pressure then it is chronic . If you are diabetic it's chronic no insulin . If you suffer from depression no medicine it is chronic . Doctors don't heal they treat . They want you to take medicine chronically. Or they would not have a job . Just like politicians keep making asinine laws to pretend they are needed .

I underwent a total knee replacement three years ago. My knee is now much worse and cannot be repaired. I am on one pain medication which helps me to function during the day. I have endured being treated like a junkie by so many medical doctors. I am not abusing the medication. I should not be treated like this. I just want to be able to get out of bed in the morning like most others do.

This apparently is a fact in this state. If you drink 2 mixed drinks for pain control only late afternoon or eve hours, they can put you down as an alcoholic. But on the other side of the coin is that by their own laws, 2 drinks is considered a light drinker.???? Now if a pain patient takes meds every day to control his/her pain, That would make all who take any meds a druggy. Alcohol has been used since the beginning of time for pain and ailments. Almost as though they are upset that your getting some relief. Sounds crazy but I call it as I see it. Just a note; Doc called in script that would cost $650 for pain. He is aware I don't have drug coverage I think anyway. Called and left message with counter and have not heard back. He can easily say he done his part. And keep the shame away, that is if he is human. According to an NIH page I had read, " It is usually intelligent people that use alcohol for pain relief". What else you going to do Sherlock? I was a nondrinker and now I do what I have to do.

I have occipital neuralgia, nerve pain in my head, spinal accessory neuropathy, pain in my neck and shoulder . But I guess you the government know how both of these feel? I don't wish you to have this but because of my pain, every day life is a struggle. Do the easiest task like dishes takes me a half a day to a day or more because it triggers the pain even with meds. Know what that labeling those who are in need may send them to something else to take away the pain! You can't tell me ir anyone else if they are in pain or not.

I am turning into an alcoholic because the only releife I can get is from a bottle. I can't work our do any of the things I love. Lack of pain managment is litteraly killing me. Thank Obama

If a person has a broken arm a drug seeker ? My body , my nervous system is broken , am I a drug seeker ? The elderly person who is on oxygen do you think you should take that away too ? Any person who has a medical diagnosis and takes medicine for it is drug dependant. Remember people do not get to pick their illness. You see this is not just a petition . This is about justice . I will never see another doctor . That was because of you . Sure I need depression medicine , high blood pressure medicine , diabetes medicine . I will never take them nor will I seek help for those issues. Because my primary health complaint is pain . The pain is destroying my health . If my pain was treated I could move and resolve my other health conditions . I do not want to live a long and painful life , just a short one with less pain . Because of you in office , making doctors your puppets I will never trust or go to anther one in the rest of my painful life . You have damaged me , you need to be in jail . Remember I left my pain clinic . I'm not a drug seeker . They your puppets miss treated me and got paid for doing it .

I don't think any one of you would be able to tolerate our pain levels and would be running to doctors and getting pain killers. Our politicians have a double standard do as I say and not as I do. It is not government's right to tell it citizen's how to live their lives and what type of medical treatment they should or shouldn't get. Doctor's and patient's must be free to do what's best for their care. Our founding father's included by the people for the people in the Constitution to protect people from an extremist government, they must be rolling in their graves. We have separation between church and state we now require a certain amount separation between the medical field and state.

I have a list of conditions that include trigeminal neuralgia, occipital neuralgia, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Chiari Malformation, fibromyalgia, to name a few. I can't go to the emergency room for a few reasons first, they don't understand some of my conditions, second they are not allowed to treat a chronic pain patient anymore. When our pain levels get out of control we are left to suffer with no recourse, no where to turn, there are no answers from doctors anywhere on this subject either. All that I've been told is to fight through it with the medication I have. If it was you or your loved one vomiting through the pain, screaming because the pain is so violent you can't control it, the story may change. No one asks for chronic pain, the government shouldn't be regulating, restricting, and monitoring my care. I understand why there are regulations on opioids but that can be controlled without restrictions on care. What will you do when its your life thats taken away because you can't have your much needed medication?

Another night of no sleep because the excruciating pain I am being FORCED TO LIVE IN BY THE DEA AND OUR GOVERNMENT, YOU MR OBAMA, YOU SENATOR BOOKER, YOU SENATOR MENENDEZ, AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU IN CONGRESS AND THE CDC. There are over 20,000 and rising heartbreaking stories, This petition hasn't even found its way to the millions of legit chronic intractable pain sufferers yet. I doubt its even making a difference. WE ARE REAL...OUR PAIN IS REAL...I did what the medical doctors told me to do years ago. I was injured in a mva, driver ran a red light, I was six months pregnant at the time. Gad to gave my first fusion in 2001. It did not take away my pain, in fact my pain INCREASED and I had a newborn I barely could take care of. I then reinjured my back in 2006. The pain was excruciating and after trying MANY options, I had to have another fusion. BOTH FUSIONS FAILED!! When I wasn't the surgeons walking success story, he turned his back on me and pushed me off to pain management. It's more like HELL! I not only have two FAILED fusions, but three herniated discs, severe stenosis, degenerative disc disease, fibromyalgia, severe nerve damage down my legs into my feet, arthritis in my hips and spine, pancreatitis, migraines, and because of the HELL I AM BEING FORCED TO LIVE IN, i suffer from anxiety and depression. What the hell do you people think you are doing to innocent sick people!?!? Every day in the newspapers and every news channel its all about muslims/terrorists. THE REAL TERRORISTS ARE THE ONES RUNNING THIS COUNTRY, Im not even afraid of a radical muslim, The fear I have is what is happening to me right now. as our own government iis INTENTIONALLY ENFLICTING HARM, PAIN AND SUFFERING ONTO MILLIONS OF INNOCENT LEGIT CHRONIC PAIN SUFFERERS!! YOU ARE KILLING US OFF EVERYDAY. YOU LIE TO THE PUBLIC WITH FALSIFIED STATISTICS TO FIT YOUR AGENDA! I HOPE TRUMP WINS AND BLOWS ALL YOU LYING*****POLITICIANS OUT TO SEA! YOU ARE ALL A BUNCH OF ****ING HYPOCRITS, ! THE LEGIT CHRONIC INTRACTABLE PAIN SUFFERERS WILL FIGHT WITH ALL WE HAVE LEFT FOR OUR RIGHTS TO HAVE THE MEDICATIONS WE NEED TO EASE OUR SUFFERING! You people running this country are just that PEOPLE, You have no medical degree, you don't know me. How is it that only those on their deathbeds are allowed pain meds?? I AM ON MY ****ING DEATHBED! EVERY DAY MORE AND MORE OF ME DIES AS THE PAIN EATS AWAY AT MY BODY. PHYSICALLY, EMOTIONALLY AND MENTALLY! And yet, im treated like an addict, shamed, turned away, judged and labeled. THERE IS NO HELP FOR THOSE SUFFERING IN PAIN! I AGREE WITH GEORGE FROM PA, WITH EVERY SINGLE PATIENT ON THIS PETITION, I WANT ANSWERS, I WANT TO SEE YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS AND PHARMACY RECORDS, YOU ALL SEEM TO KNOW MINE, IM TRACKED WHEREVER I GO, IF I GO TO ANOTHER DR IM DOCTOR SHOPPING AND NOW THATS AGAINST YOUR ****ED UP LAW, IF I GO TO ANOTHER PHARMACY, ACCORDING TO YOU I GUESS IM TRYING TO PULL ONE OVER ON YOU. I've been in pain for 25 years. Not even taking into account my age (I'll be 38 before Christmas), that's a considerably long time. I've lost count of the number of times I've been treated like a drug-seeking pariah. I've had doctors tell me flat out, "I'm not your drug dealer. I'll give you a Tylenol or some Motrin, but that's it." This when my pain level was a 9 and rising. Kentucky's KASPER program is doing wonders to curb the abuse of prescription pain medications, and a clear statement is on its website that the program is not intended to prevent needed medication from being prescribed. However, I'm sure you've heard the saying about the road to hell. The dramatic increase in heroin use while prescription painkiller abuse declines is unsurprising; heroin is, after all, close kin to morphine. I've been starting to wonder if I'm going to have to make a similar turn. I ask you; I beg you; I implore you:Let the people who know how to treat pain do so. You're politicians. Do your politicking. Let doctors be doctors.

I cannot even use one of the Emergency Rooms in my town because they will not give narcotics to pain patients. But my pain doctor told me to go to the ER when my home medications did not work when I have a very severe and acute attack of Trigeminal Neuralgia or Occipital Neuralgia. Should we stay home and suffer for days with level 9, at minimum pain? Childbirth with no medication was a breeze compared to living with acute pain attacks and then having to worry about being called a drug seeker or worse. First do no harm means not letting a patient suffer in pain. Opiods when needed, other therapies as needed too. I get severe stomach pain when I take prescription doses of NSAIDS and they have some severe risks too. This issue is too important to let the DEA and FDA make these decisions and not our doctors. Still not addicted, still don't seek drugs. Most pain patients hate taking opiods, legalize Medical Marijuana everywhere if you are so afraid of opiods. Then doctors have more options for their patients. I didn't ask for my pain, it was caused by Cipro and Avelox permanently damaging my neurological system. Am I to be punished for the pain that has caused?

I had a caring PA who knew what pain was. Now they left & everyone left in the clinic is treating me as a drug abuser. I cannot believe what is happening. Do people absolutely refuse to acknowledge putting these restrictions on opiates not only hurts CP patients but also the world as a whole? Refusal to learn from history only guarantees repeating history. How did prohibition work? Mobs flurished for one & alcohol related deaths increased for another. People are only going to turn to street drugs, which ironically has increased,or commit suicide to end the pain. This has to stop. Common sense goes a long way DEA & Obama.

I have IC & it's an extremely painful disease. Anyone with it suffers more than you can imagine. Pain doctors are supposed to treat patient's with real pain & disease. Its really not fare to target the doctors who are really just doing their job. Then people like myself suffer even more. Many have committed suicide because of this disease. Thank you
