As a domestic violence advocate/paralegal/journalist, I strongly support a bill to be passed into a law making it a crime of Parental Alienation as in many cases of domestic violence, this is a true form of child abuse and many times, the absent parent is paying child support and is not allowed to see their child. The non-custodian parent should not have to petition the court for visitation and often times the grandparents and other relatives are also alienated. This is pass a growing epidemic and I strongly feel that the absent parent suffers from this in forms of illnesses because the non-custodian parent alienates the child. The child grows up acting out in anger and frustration due to the build-up of the custodian parent "bad-mouthing" etc., the other parent and their relatives. It is unacceptable and not only should a penalty fine be put in place, this should carry a felony conviction and the custodian parent should have carried a mark on drivers' licenses and their credit report. There should also be advocates where the custodian parent will have to show and prove accountability for alienation as it is unjust and the long terms affects on a child's absent parent and relatives leaves a devastating outcome as the child grows up!REPORT COMMENTS

Parental Alienation is a crime and should be punishable by law. Of course, the significance of this result is that Parental Alienation is often inner-generational and, once grown, those damaged are at risk of passing the problem on to their own children. These individuals are inclined to continue into adulthood the practice of seeing people in black and white. In spite of what they say, they are unable to act in the best interests of their child. It takes a truly disturbed and obsessed person to harm a child by brainwashing them, to remove from a child?s life a loving parent and their extended family and friends who care deeply about the child. The programming of a child is done for personal gain. These are not people with good parenting skills. Children are in their lives to serve them and to help them get their way. They are not nurturing and attentive to their child?s needs, nor do they know how to nurture their child emotionally. A child is not allowed to grieve for the loss of the target parent, extended family, and friends; they are kept busy taking care of the disturbed parent.REPORT COMMENTS
