Parental Alienation is child abuse. As society we expect the courts to be fair. I am shocked by how our court system allows the parent with the most $ and attorneys to exploit the system and prevent willing loving parents from their rights to see their children. The courts rarely give Fathers the time with children they deserve to have. Let's stop this America.

My daughters are grown women now. Their father did all the things mentioned. The are still alienated from me. I cannot imagine how they must feel, and what they have to do to justify the estrangement from me. My heart is broken.

I never realized that parental alienation could happen without intervention from Courts or State agencies responsible for child welfare. I was a social worker who believed there HAD to be some way to prevent one parent to totally cut children from contact with the other parent. Not so, I learned. For several years I've tried to help my niece, a good devoted stay at home mom to her 2 sons. Shortly after divorce their father coldly and systematically began to deny her access to her sons. Even though custody & visitation were set at the time of the divorce. She has not even seen her 2nd son, now 17 for many years. After years of brainwashing and manipulation by their father, his family and friends, this son refuses to see or talk to her. Her relationship with her older son is also very limited - harmed by these years of alienation. My niece lost her job due to stress, had no money for lawyers to challenge her ex's illegal actions to remove her from their sons' lives. She was at times was homeless & developed PTSD symptoms. There are so many injustices in all this. These boys were deprived of a good and devoted mother through most of their childhood. Despite the damage done to her, my niece would agree that the greatest injustice is the harm done to her sons both now & in the future. It has been totally unjust - Family Court provided no oversight and protection to this family.

Any parent using young, innocent children against the other parent should be slapped with child abuse charges. The mental and emotional trauma this could cause a youngster is heartbreaking!!!

It been seven years of fighting in and out of court to be in my grandsons life. My son and has never lost or given up his rights to my grandson and has always tried working with his mother to be a part of his life and every chance he's been given to spend time with his son has been always when it is convenient for his mother. My grandson, Rj is very special to me. I love him unconditionally. Brandy has also used or blackmailed me to see my grandson, to the extent of saying " you can have RJ for a week if you take his Lil sister," which is no relation to me, of course I jumped at the chance and would do the same again tomorrow if that opportunity ever rose. In 2007 when Rj was being born, Corey and I received a call from her family stating she was in labor. So I said let's go, corey should be able to see his son come into this world. Corey and myself and our family packed some belongings and we then drove almost 200 miles one wah to be there for his birth, after driving down and renting a hotel for two nights we tried to get a hold of the family members, we even drove to their home after multiple calls and no answer. Unfortunately, spending over $400. My son was not able to see his son, until he was a month old. From then on Corey has had time with his son whenever rjs mom would allow him. My son even tried moving down to Detroit to be the father he was suppose to be, after about six months Corey then moved back home, brandy and him couldn't seem to make it work. From that point on its been nothing but conflicts of her not wanting Corey in his life. She literally would like us for a week maybe two maybe a month, maybe a year, then back to the same ole hating us not allowing RJ to be around or see or even talk to us. After some time had past, Corey decided to motion the courts, in 2010 we went to court, Brandy and Corey were both sworn in and brandy literally lied under oath and said "she wanted supervised visits, do to RJ not knowing Corey, which is a lie, cause RJ has been in Corey's life every chance brandy would allow him to have RJ. The judge of course sided with brandy and order 16 visits on Saturdays with the first 8 being supervised by Brandy's father, Rob. Corey and I drove to Detroit Michigan to meet with brandy for his visit with RJ, the first two Saturdays brandy didn't even show up, the third visit she showed without her father and allowed Corey to take RJ for his six hour visit. It was a great time very well needed for both Corey and RJ. The fourth visit brandy again showed and allowed Corey and I to take RJ for a few days, after returning RJ back home, everything was fine, brandy now liked us again and we were able to be a part of his life until the end of 2012 & beginning of 2013. Again Corey went back to court and again, after being sworn in Brandy lied and said RJ don't know his father and that she wanted supervised visits again. So here we are back to doing twelve supervised visits, with growth works supervising and
