For all the people complaining that their children will be waiting in the dark for the bus each morning, don't you realize with DST we set the clocks BACK an hour? If sunrise is normally at 7:00am, now it will rise at 6:00am.REPORT COMMENTS

We are a 24 hour society now, the days of the normal 9 to 5 job are over. Leave the clocks alone, its no benefit to anything other than tradition. And as we all well know, traditions fall fast these days.REPORT COMMENTS

Evan R. from Saint Paul, MN writes: Sam R. from Beverly Hills, CA writes: There should be quarterly 30 minute time adjustments...such an easier system! Seriously Sam you are either at Cal Tech or high. Lets adjust the clock everyday to closer to real sun time. You do understand these are made up norms. The sun comes up people plant crops, hunt and work, the sun goes down they go to sleep and make more hunters. All the rest is Governing BS Hey Evan, this isn't the USSR, so could you cease with the hostilities over someone else's opinion? I think he's on to something here. Instead though, what if we moved forward a certain amount of time at night and then fell back a certain amount of time at night? The times each day would fluctuate so as to guarantee the scientifical preciseness of the time. Not to mention, we'd only be losing time when we're sleeping, and we get to get to add that time back in the middle of the workday. This would really boost productivity and therefore the economy would improve bigly too.REPORT COMMENTS

Please end this practice, as it is unnecessary, and the original intent 'to save on candle wax' is no longer applicable. And besides, it is demonstrated to cause additional gasoline consumption, and has other deleterious effects.REPORT COMMENTS
