Daylight savings time serves no purpose. It is an aggravation for everyone that is forced by the government to change the clocks twice a year! -

The amount of time this ongoing sharade countinues is the testimony to the efficiency of congresses ability to do their jobs. None of them work a real job, so the effects aren't felt. I believe it's a manifestation of power to know they can attempt to control time. I bet most of them believe the sun magically stays up an extra hour. Hopefully the scientific method will one day be how laws are written and justified. END DST!REPORT COMMENTS

The whole purpose back in the late 1700s was to not waste energy/candle use. Well in the 21st century we do not have to worry about energy/candle usage. Farmers have more lights on their farm equipment now then ever. If you want to have more time during the daylight, than wake up with the light if you can. Most of us in the world know how to be responsible with our time.REPORT COMMENTS

I work at a school that starts at 7:15 am. When this time goes forward students (many of whom walk) are in the dark) and attendance goes way down. March is just too early for the time change. Why not move it up to April then it's not so dark and will naturally be lighter even with the "Spring forward". Mid and early March is still winter especially in the north.
