This was an energy saving tool. I do not believe it is necessary any longer. People work 24 / 7 therefore there are limited savings. Time change is difficult on the body, more heart attack and accidents happen. Financially expensive. Stop it.Mar 11th, 2017Mark M. from Ann Arbor, MI signed.

It causes stress twice a year. No longer needed Eating times off, People tired for days. Confused pets and in the winter dark so early. Still dark when one gets up in spring. Hate it.REPORT COMMENTS

While is may feel good to "gain" an hour of sleep, the springing back is just not worth it. And to be honest I feel it would make life less complicated if we removed such small cultural hassles that give no enrichment to our society, the only people who would suffer are story writers using daylight saving a plot point and even then I can only recount one episode of "The Powderpuff Girls" which used daylight savings as narrative device.REPORT COMMENTS

This going back and forth on something so noble as time, has come, rather passed full circle;; no wonder America the Beautiful, is so unstable, based on the Higher Powers of original intentions.REPORT COMMENTS

High noon should signify the point at which the sun culminates in the sky. Duping the masses into setting their watches to the wrong time for 6 months of the year is the epitome of government overreach. If the government tried to mandate that employees work 7-4 instead of 8-5 the people would reject it! However that is precisely what is occurring. One might ask if 1 hour 'creates' more daylight then why not turn our clocks 3 hours forward so we think we are working 9-5 but in actuality we are working 6-2. Imagine how much daylight would be left if we finished work at 2! But also imagine how exhausted everyone would be when the sun sets around midnight and we are still doing yard work. How can the government mandate that everyone does everything they normally do but do it an hour earlier. Not for one day but everyday for 6 months. It's a terrible con on society and MUST stop if we are really a free society.REPORT COMMENTS

I don't like to change the time twice every year. IT WILL BETTER TO STAY ON THE "STANDARD TIME" YEAR LONG. Also, since the period of time that DST is is longer than the "Standard Time", DST should be called the "Standard Time" and the "Standard Time" should be called "Daylight Losing or Spending Time".
