Keeping our kids safe from NOT suddenly waiting in the dark to go to school, stopping accidents and injuries from the forced bodily disorientation, not forcing a sudden adjustment to changed sleeping schedules, stopping large numbers of mistakes at work and minimizing mood alterations all seem like excellent safety and money-making friendly reasons to kill daylight savings time. And not to mention no longer waiting at 9 or 9:30pm for the sun to go down to get relief from temps well over 100 so people can sleep in the middle of Summer. Having lived with and without, you wouldn't believe how normal, stress and accident free life is from season to season without this ridiculous adjustment twice a year. Please stop these time changes--our school kids are waiting beside the highway for the school bus in the DARK--we need more daylight during the early morning to protect our KIDS. I have asked many times if the law makers would stop time changes but as usual, my request was ignored by Hensarling and Chronyn---there are 2 bills that have made it to the committees so call Austin in support of the bills. It's pointless to add an hour of light when the days are naturally getting longer and then to take away an hour of light when the days are naturally getting shorter.
