There is an old story about a Chief. I am paraphrasing here. When told about day-light saving the Chief replied, "only the government would think that if you cut off the bottom of the blanket and sewed it to the top you would have a longer blanket". This is bizarre, and counter productive. People don't need any more stress, we are in a new age, and everybody will benefit from this silliness to end. Well, except whoever LOBBY"S for it to stay !REPORT COMMENTS

I support Texas legislators in their aim of exempting from Daylight savings time. But it would be more effective to abolish the program federally. Daylight Savings Time negatively effects my children, reduces their academic success in school and reduces my efficiency at work. There is no longer a need to save daylight in modern society. The program has outlived its usefulness for American Citizens. Thank you for your consideration.REPORT COMMENTS

I live in the metro area and considered myself reasonably informed. Switching the clock twice a year not counting quantifiable disruptions is simply silly. Pick a damn time and stick with it to save most of us the stupidity. Those who'd like to switch back and forth should go back to the stone age.REPORT COMMENTS

Let's please try to stay on standard time for once and see how it goes. The days and nights already ebb and flow according to natural causes. DST distorts the natural balance which produces longer days in the summer and shorter days in the winter. DST creates this additional swing in daylight hours, and it creates hardship for people by disrupting sleep patterns--twice a year! We are already expected to adhere to schedules and daily demands, and in a time when our nation is focusing on matters of health more than ever, we need to do everything possible to help people get good rest and find more balance in daily life.REPORT COMMENTS
