There is an old story about a Chief. I am paraphrasing here. When told about day-light saving the Chief replied, "only the government would think that if you cut off the bottom of the blanket and sewed it to the top you would have a longer blanket". This is bizarre, and counter productive. People don't need any more stress, we are in a new age, and everybody will benefit from this silliness to end. Well, except whoever LOBBY"S for it to stay !

Daylight saving time has no benefits. It only makes things more difficult for people. It won't even be hard to get rid of. There's no point to t so please just stop it.

I support Texas legislators in their aim of exempting from Daylight savings time. But it would be more effective to abolish the program federally. Daylight Savings Time negatively effects my children, reduces their academic success in school and reduces my efficiency at work. There is no longer a need to save daylight in modern society. The program has outlived its usefulness for American Citizens. Thank you for your consideration.

This is not the way time was meant to be and should stop. It messes with people's sleep and routines. I am a crankier me everyday because of it. I've always hated it and will continue to show my distaste to this ridiculous time schedule!! It's stupid and always has been.

I live in the metro area and considered myself reasonably informed. Switching the clock twice a year not counting quantifiable disruptions is simply silly. Pick a damn time and stick with it to save most of us the stupidity. Those who'd like to switch back and forth should go back to the stone age.

This is the biggest annoyance ever! It makes the days seem to go by so quickly. I hate that it gets dark at 9:00 pm cst.. In my opinion it does no one any good. It serves no purpose! It takes for me at a least two weeks to adjust to this, and I feel it messes with my sleep. Get rid of it , please!

Daylight savings time offers no benefits to society today, instead only increasing audio accidents, heart attacks, work accidents, etc in the month after the change. It is disruptive to the body's natural circadian rhythm and harmful.

Please end daylight savings time. It throws off our sleep pattern (not healthy), doesn't let us fully experience the movement of earth (not healthy), and there is no use to it.

Get rid of DST there is no good reason for this practice. Energy savings are not a good excuse for disruption of time and impacts night shift workers who have jobs important to the safety and welfare of the general public.

Let's please try to stay on standard time for once and see how it goes. The days and nights already ebb and flow according to natural causes. DST distorts the natural balance which produces longer days in the summer and shorter days in the winter. DST creates this additional swing in daylight hours, and it creates hardship for people by disrupting sleep patterns--twice a year! We are already expected to adhere to schedules and daily demands, and in a time when our nation is focusing on matters of health more than ever, we need to do everything possible to help people get good rest and find more balance in daily life.

End it! There is only so many daylight hours in every day, changing time is not going to alter that. If a business needs or wants to operate during daylight hours then the business can change itself to accommodate their needs- but leave everyone else alone.
